Written by Caggie Dunlop, commissioned by Orion Spring

I was brought in by the Orion team to shape the visual direction of Caggie Dunlop’s debut book, Saturn Returns. As the host of a widely followed podcast with a strong online presence, Caggie needed to translate her voice into a clear and distinctive visual identity for the book’s release.

A central part of the brief was to develop an emblematic visual language — one she could truly identify with — that would anchor the project and extend across her wider communication. It needed to feel grounded and authentic, avoiding the overly “woo-woo” aesthetic often associated with the MBS publishing space.

With Caggie’s online presence in mind, the ambition was to create a visual that could travel, something distinctive enough to be widely shared and reinterpreted, extending its reach far beyond the book.
